Elton Brand paced Los Angeles with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Quentin Richardson netted 12 points for the Clippers, who have dropped two in a row and five of their last seven games. Philadelphia opened the third quarter with a 21-5 burst, highlighted by nine points from Allen Iverson, to take a 68-51 advantage. The Clippers were able to cut the deficit to 11 at 76-65 on Brand's basket with 10:07 left in the fourth quarter. However, the 76ers responded with a 17-4 run, capped by consecutive jumpers from Eric Snow, to grab a commanding 93-69 lead with 5:11 remaining. Philadelphia's biggest lead was 100-73 on Samuel Dalembert's bucket with 1:27 left. The Clippers are off until Friday when they visit Vince Carter and the Toronto Raptors. |
