Toronto, Ontario (My Sportsbook) - The
Dallas Mavericks look to remain unbeaten on Wednesday when they travel to Toronto to tangle with the
Toronto Raptors at Air Canada Centre.
The Mavs, at 3-0, are one of three NBA teams still without a loss this season, along with New Jersey (4-0) and Seattle (4-0).
The last time Dallas started a season 4-0 was the 1995-96 campaign.
The Mavericks earned their third win of the year Monday with a 107-100 triumph over the Golden State Warriors.
Steve Nash netted 30 points and Dirk Nowitzki poured in 24 points with 13 rebounds, as the Mavericks opened a huge lead before hanging on for the victory.
Michael Finley added 17 points for the Mavs, who beat the Warriors for the 14th straight time.
Coach Don Nelson and assistant Donnie Nelson were on the bench for the first time this season. The two were suspended for two games for attending a workout in Yugoslavia that featured players ineligible for the NBA draft.
Toronto is coming off a tough overtime victory over the Chicago Bulls on Monday. Lindsey Hunter hit a jump shot with two seconds remaining in the extra session to lead the Raptors to a 109-105 victory.
Hunter finished with 23 points and Alvin Williams added 25, as the Raptors beat the Bulls for the 15th straight time.
Voshon Lenard also had 23 for Toronto, which has split its first four games to start the season.
Toronto played without Vince Carter and forward/center Antonio Davis, who were both injured in Saturday's loss to Houston. Carter suffered a strained quadriceps tendon in his left knee is expected to miss at least a week. Davis suffered a sprained left rib cage in the third quarter of Saturday's game and is expected to miss one-to-two weeks.
The Mavs and Raptors split two meetings last season, with the home team winning each game. Overall, Dallas has won four of the last five matchups. The Mavs are just 2-4 all-time in Toronto.
