Milwaukee, WI (My Sportsbook) - Kevin Garnett scored 21 points, on 7-of-8 shooting from the field, to lead the Boston Celtics in a 107-104 overtime victory against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.

Tony Allen poured in 17 points for the Celtics, who won their seventh contest in a row and have already clinched the top spot in the Eastern Conference. James Posey chipped in 16 points, while Paul Pierce and Leon Powe gave 14 each. Ray Allen had 11 points in victory.

Michael Redd scored 25 points for the Bucks, who have dropped three in a row. Andrew Bogut recorded his fifth double-double in a row with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Desmond Mason ended with 14 points, as Ramon Sessions and Bobby Simmons had 13 apiece. Royal Ivey contributed 12 points in defeat.

Guard Maurice Williams (abdominal strain) did not play for Milwaukee versus Boston. Williams is averaging 17.2 points and a team-best 6.3 assists in 66 games this season for the Bucks.

The overtime lead see-sawed until an Ivey three gave the Bucks a 104-102 lead with just under two minutes left in the extra frame.

Eddie House countered with a three of his own to put the Celtics up one, and a pair of Posey free throws sealed the deal with just under a minute left in the game.

"We were able to gut it out for the most part with mental toughness," Posey said. "We made plays when we needed to down the stretch, we got some big rebounds and defensive stops and that helped us in overtime."

Despite taking a 17-2 lead on an Allen three-pointer, the Celtics cushion was deflated to three, 32-29, after the first frame.

The Celtics parlayed a big second quarter into a 60-45 halftime lead.

A Pierce three-pointer closed out a 14-4 Boston run to begin the second half. Pierce accounted for seven of the Celts' points on the surge, which put the club ahead 74-49 with about 7 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter.

Moments later, a Redd three sparked an 11-0 Milwaukee run. The surge brought the Bucks within 76-64 when Bogut closed out the run with a pair of free throws.

Boston opened an 80-66 cushion heading into the final 12 minutes of play.

Four points from Dan Gadzuric made it a 10-point game with just over 8 1/2 minutes left in regulation. Posey interjected with a trey, but the Bucks responded with a 15-2 run that tied the game at 87.

"I'm proud of it, I'm proud of the team," Bucks head coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "We had an opportunity to close it up, we put an energy group on the floor and they battled."

The clubs exchanged buckets and a Redd three-pointer with 10.5 ticks tied the game at 99 and sent the contest into overtime.

Game Notes

Boston is 3-0 against the Bucks this season, and has won five of the last seven contests in the series. The Celtics have won three of their last four games at Milwaukee...The Celtics are an impressive 29-9 on the road this season. The Bucks are 19-20 at home this season.
