San Jose, CA (My Sportsbook) - Jeremy Roenick had two goals and two assists as the San Jose Sharks won Game 7 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series against the Calgary Flames, 5-3, to move into the semifinals.

Joe Pavelski, Devin Setoguchi and Joe Thornton each scored a goal for the Sharks, who will face the Dallas Stars in the semifinals, with San Jose hosting Game 1 on Friday. Evgeni Nabokov made 19 saves in the win.

"It was pretty depressing after we lost Game 6, but Ronny (coach Ron Wilson) came up to me yesterday and said we are really counting on you," said Roenick. "We were very dominant tonight. We dominated three-quarters of the game and showed why we were so good in the regular season."

Jarome Iginla, Owen Nolan and Wayne Primeau each had a goal for the Flames, who had a 2-1 series lead, only to see it slip away. Miikka Kiprusoff was charged with four goals on 26 shots. Curtis Joseph came on in relief in the second and gave up one goal on 11 shots.

The Sharks grabbed the lead in the first on the power play as Jonathan Cheechoo sent a pass from the low left side of the net to the right side where Thornton slammed it home with 9:03 left in the frame.

Calgary, though, tied the contest with 7:37 left in the first as Dion Phaneuf's point shot hit off of Adrian Aucoin then bounced off of Iginla and into the net.

The Flames took a 2-1 lead just 3:33 into the second period as Nolan was sprung on a breakaway and while his initial shot was stopped, the rebound bounced off of him and got past Nabokov.

However, it was all San Jose for the remainder of the second period as the team exploded for four unanswered goals in the frame.

Roenick got his first goal of the game at the 6:04 mark as his shot from the high slot went through the legs of Setoguchi and past Kiprusoff to tie the contest.

On the power play, San Jose took the lead for good. Roenick blasted a shot from the left point that was blocked in front, but he followed up his own rebound and banged the puck in from a sharp angle along the left side for a 3-2 lead with 10:56 left in the second.

Pavelski then made it a 4-2 contest as he chipped a rebound over Kiprusoff and into the net with 5:59 left in the frame.

Joseph came into the net after Pavelski's goal, but Setoguchi completed the burst as his wrister from the slot found the left corner of the net with 5:07 left in the frame.

Calgary made it a 5-3 game with 14:42 left in the contest on Primeau's chip-in from in front of the net.

The Flames, though, were unable to get any more past Nabokov as the Sharks hung on for the series victory.
