Miami, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Van Gundy brothers meet up for the second time in their NBA head coaching careers tonight when Stan's Miami Heat welcome Jeff's Houston Rockets to AmericanAirlines Arena.

Jeff got the best of his older brother back on November 11 when the Rockets posted a 90-70 win.

Houston comes into the contest rolling after Yao Ming shot 15-of-23 from the field, scored a career-high 37 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, to lead the Rockets to a 99-87 road win over Orlando on Sunday.

Yao, whose previous career-high was 30 points, also set career marks in field goals made and attempted. He also blocked two shots in the win.

Maurice Taylor came off the bench to score 20 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, as the Rockets won their third straight contest and 10th of their last 13 overall.

Yao and Taylor and were part of Houston's dominance in the middle, as Houston owned a 44-22 edge in points in the paint. Cuttino Mobley chipped in 12 points, while Jim Jackson netted 11 for the Rockets, who evened their road record to 12-12 this season.

Houston has won five of its last six games on the road and is 12-12 away from home this season.

Miami also comes into tonight's tilt riding a winning streak. On Saturday, Eddie Jones scored 26 points while dishing out six assists to help the Heat to an 85-77 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Jones was 5-of-7 on three-point shots while Lamar Odom chipped in with 19 points and nine rebounds for the Heat, who have back-to-back wins for the first time in almost a month. Caron Butler added 17 for Miami, who won its second straight, but walked away with a victory for just the third time in its last nine games.

Miami used a 10-1 rally in the last 3:04 to clinch the victory. After Kurt Thomas' layup gave the Knicks a 76-75 lead with just under four minutes left, Jones hit a jumper to put the Heat up 77-76.

Odom responded with a basket to put Miami ahead 79-76 with 2:25 left. After both teams turned it over, Stephon Marbury and Anfernee Hardaway both failed in their attempts to tie it with shots from long range.

Keith Van Horn's free throw with just over a minute left got the Knicks back to 81-77, but Brian Grant hit a jumper from the corner with 40 seconds left, essentially closing the door on any chances for a New York comeback.

Miami has won eight of its last 11 games at home and is 12-7 in its gym this season.

Houston has won two of the last three meetings in this series and has won two of its last three in South Florida. The Rockets have also dropped six of their last eight in Miami.
