Toronto Raptors try to halt a two- game losing streak tonight when they visit Allen Iverson and the
Philadelphia 76ers at the Wachovia Center.
The is the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two squads. Philadelphia won the first meeting 81-75 on November 19, while Toronto has won the last two. The Raptors defeated the 76ers, 95-88, on December 2 at the Wachovia Center and then beat Philadelphia, 94-84, on January 28 at Air Canada Centre.
On Sunday, the Raptors lost to the Los Angeles Lakers, 84-83, in front of their home crowd.
Vince Carter paced the Raptors in Sunday's loss with 27 points and 10 rebounds, while Donyell Marshall chipped in 18 points and 13 boards. Toronto, which has dropped seven of its last eight, also got a solid game from rookie Chris Bosh, who finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
The Raptors, who have lost four in a row on the road, are 8-15 as the visitor this season.
The 76ers, who start a three-game homestand tonight, have lost four of their last five games. On Sunday, Philadelphia lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 106-101, at the Target Center.
Iverson paced Philadelphia with 28 points and nine assists in the loss. Glenn Robinson had 27 points and Kenny Thomas contributed 16 points and 15 boards for the 76ers, who have dropped eight of their last 10 games.
Iverson, who has scored at least 30 points in five of his last eight contests, is averaging 30.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and seven assists over his last four games.
Philadelphia, which has lost four of its last five at home, is 11-12 as the host this season.
The road team has won four of five and seven of the last nine meetings between these to teams. Toronto has won four of its last five at Philadelphia.
