Kenyon Martin scored 29 points and Jason Kidd recorded his 57th career triple- double, as the Nets rolled to their season-high eighth straight victory. The 29 points tied a season high for Martin. He also scored 29 against the Dallas Mavericks on January 20. New Jersey has won each of the eight games by double-digit margins. Kidd had 14 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists to move within two of Celtic legend Larry Bird, who recorded 59 triple doubles in his illustrious career. Bird sits in fourth place on the all-time triple-doubles list. Richard Jefferson also contributed 14 points, Kerry Kittles 12 and Aaron Williams and Rodney Rogers each had 11 for the Nets, who kept new head coach Lawrence Frank's record perfect, at 7-0. New Jersey converted 35-of-43 from the free throw line in the contest. Martin hit 11 of his 12 attempts from the charity stripe. The Nets outrebounded the Sixers by a 49-38 margin. The Nets will look to continue their success Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons.
