Boston, MA (My Sportsbook) - The Boston Celtics Wednesday waived guard Lindsey Hunter. Hunter was obtained last Thursday as part of a three-team trade that involved Boston, Detroit and Atlanta. In addition to getting Hunter from the Pistons, the Celtics acquired guard Chucky Atkins, Detroit's 2004 first-round selection and cash considerations. Meanwhile, the Hawks sent forward Rasheed Wallace to the Pistons during the deal. In addition to Wallace, Detroit also received guard Mike James from the Celtics. Finally, Atlanta acquired forward Chris Mills from Boston and center Zeljko Rebraca and guard Bob Sura from Detroit. The Hawks also obtained the rights to Milwaukee's 2004 first-round draft choice, which Detroit previously obtained from Denver. Hunter did not appear in a game for Boston. He played 11 contests for the Pistons this season and averaged 3.7 points per contest.
