(My Sportsbook) - Michael Redd scored 26 points and Desmond Mason added 21, as the Milwaukee Bucks held on to defeat the Boston Celtics, 106-104, at the FleetCenter on Wednesday.

Toni Kukoc chipped in 18 points for the Bucks, who won for just the fourth time in their last 11 contests.

Milwaukee was without starting point guard T.J. Ford, who will be sidelined 2- to-3 weeks with a mild bruise of his spinal cord. Ford left Tuesday's game against Minnesota on a stretcher after he fell hard to the court late in the fourth quarter. X-rays taken were negative, but further evaluation, which included an MRI, revealed the severity of the injury.

Milwaukee took a 100-95 lead on a layup by Daniel Santiago with 5:16 remaining in the fourth quarter. Paul Pierce then drained a three-pointer and Mark Blount followed with a three-point play to give Boston a one-point edge with 2:29 left.

The Bucks then received a hook shot in the lane from Keith Van Horn, a jumper from Damon Jones and a driving layup from Redd to regain a five-point advantage at 106-101 with 1:09 remaining.

Ricky Davis responded with a basket for the Celtics seven seconds later and then hit 1-of-2 tries from the foul line to cut the deficit to 106-104 with 28 seconds left.

After Mason missed a jumper from the corner, Boston got the rebound and called timeout with 4.4 seconds remaining. On the final possession, Milwaukee pressured the ball and time expired before Walter McCarty's desperation 35- foot heave banked in.

Redd has scored 20 or more points in 12 of his last 15 games. In his last three contests, the All-Star guard is averaging 25.3 points and five rebounds.

The Bucks are off until Friday when they host the Memphis Grizzlies. Earlier this season, the Grizzlies defeated Milwaukee, 105-85, on February 6 at The Pyramid.
