San Jose, CA (My Sportsbook) - The San Jose Sharks will try for their third straight win to reach the .500 mark this evening when they host the Nashville Predators at the Shark Tank. San Jose is coming off a 5-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday thanks in part to a pair of goals from rookie Lynn Loyns, who netted the first two scores of his career. Mike Rathje also added two goals for San Jose, which has won back-to-back games for the first time all season. Todd Harvey contributed a goal as well. Evgeni Nabokov, who has won consecutive starts, made 27 saves for San Jose, which improved to 5-6-0-1 on the season. The Sharks are in the midst of a four-game homestand that will conclude with visits from the Minnesota Wild and New York Rangers. This is the second meeting of the season between the two teams. San Jose posted a 2-1 victory over the Predators back on October 24 to improve to 3-1-1 in the last five matchups. Nashville will be hoping for its first win in five games tonight (0-2-0-2) after suffering its fourth consecutive loss Wednesday to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, 2-1. Andy Delmore scored the lone goal for the Predators, who have yet to win in eight games on the road this season (0-3-1-4). Tomas Vokoun turned aside 23 shots in the loss. Center Denis Pederson left the game with a shoulder injury in the second period and is not expected to play tonight. Nashville has won three of its last four in San Jose, but are just 2-4-1 in the last seven and is 3-6-1 in the last 10.
