Minneapolis, MN (My Sportsbook) - The
Milwaukee Bucks look to extend their winning streak to three games when they travel to Minnesota Thursday to face the Timberwolves.
After starting the season with a pair of losses, Milwaukee has posted back-to- back wins to improve to .500 on the season.
On Wednesday, the Bucks handed New Jersey its first loss of the season with a 99-93 victory over the Nets at the Bradley Center. New Jersey was seeking a franchise-best 5-0 start to the season.
Milwaukee's Ray Allen led all scorers with a season-high 29 points.
Toni Kukoc added 26 points off the bench on 7-of-10 shooting for the Bucks. Sam Cassell contributed 12 points and nine assists and rookie Dan Gadzuric posted his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.
The T'wolves snapped a two-game skid with a 90-86 win over the Washington Wizards at the Target Center on Tuesday.
Kendall Gill scored 22 points off the bench and Kevin Garnett added 17 and ripped down a game-high 16 rebounds to lead Minnesota.
Troy Hudson chipped in 17 points and five assists and Rasho Nesterovic scored 11 and added six boards for the Timberwolves, who rebounded from a 24-point loss against New Jersey on Monday.
Timberwolves guard Wally Szczerbiak is expected to be in the starting lineup Thursday. Szczerbiak has missed the first five games of the season with a left foot injury, which he suffered against the Bucks in the preseason.
Minnesota won both meetings with Milwaukee last season and has won six straight overall. Milwaukee's last win over the Wolves came on March 28, 1999, at the Target Center. The Bucks have dropped three straight at Minnesota.
Milwaukee is 1-1 on the road this season, while the Wolves are a perfect 3-0 at home. Minnesota started last season with four consecutive home victories.
