=== Boston Celtics Team Report - February 28 === (My Sportsbook) - Paul Pierce finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead Boston to an 88-75 win over Toronto in the first of a home-and-home series on Friday at the FleetCenter. Mark Blount contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Celtics, who snapped a season-high seven game losing streak and won for the just the second time in their last 15 games. The victory was also interim head coach John Carroll's his first at home. Brandon Hunter finished with 11 points and a career-high 16 rebounds, seven of which came in the first quarter. The seven-game losing streak was the Celtics' longest since they dropped 10 in a row from March 20 to April 7, 2000. Boston, which will wrap up the home-and-home on Sunday north of the border, has lost six straight and eight of its last nine on the road and is 12-18 away from home this season. The Celtics have won two of three from the Raptors this season, but has dropped 10 of the last 16 and 12 of the last 21 meetings. Boston has also lost three straight and six of its last seven in Toronto. |
