=== Minnesota Timberwolves Team Report - March 1 === (My Sportsbook) - The Timberwolves came out flat Sunday night and it showed, as they dropped an 81-74 decision to the shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers at the Wachovia Center. Minnesota got game-highs of 27 points and 13 rebounds from Kevin Garnett. Sam Cassell added 13 points for the Timberwolves, who had a three-game win streak snapped and lost for just the third time in their last 20 games overall. Garnett has scored in double digits in all 60 of Minnesota's games this season and has played 40 or more minutes in 16 of the Timberwolves' last 25 contests The T'Wolves trailed most of the game, but got even at 71-71 with four-plus minutes remaining on a Garnett shot in the lane. However, Garnett didn't touch the ball again until a desperation three-pointer in the final seconds. "Quite frankly, we played like an AAU team," said Timberwolves head coach Flip Saunders. "We've got the MVP of the league [and when] we come down the stretch, we have plays called (and) he doesn't touch the ball (in) the last 2 1/2 minutes in the paint. You're just asking to get beat." The Sixers played without Iverson and Glenn Robinson. Iverson has missed the past four games with a shoulder injury and Robinson has been sidelined for two contests with an injured elbow. Minnesota will try to get back on the winning track Wednesday against Dallas at the Target Center. The T'Wolves have lost two of three this season to the Mavericks. However, Minnesota has won three of four and four of its last six home tilts versus Dallas.
