Los Angeles, CA (My Sportsbook) - The Los Angeles Kings activated forward Martin Straka from injured reserve and he is expected to play in Thursday's game versus the Minnesota Wild. Straka, 31, has missed the last 23 games after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on both knees on January 22. He was acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins on November 30, and has six goals and five assists in 18 games with Los Angeles. Overall, the Czech native has tallied 10 goals and 13 assists in 40 games this season. In a related move, the Kings assigned defenseman Tomas Zizka to their American Hockey League affiliate in Manchester. Zizka has played in 15 games on the year, recording two goals and three assists. Los Angeles also announced that defenseman Brad Norton and forward Jon Sim were claimed off waivers Thursday by Washington and Pittsburgh, respectively.
