Newark, NJ (My Sportsbook) - The New Jersey Devils signed a pair of former players, free agent forwards Bobby Holik and Brian Rolston, the club announced Tuesday. Holik, 37, was selected with the 10th overall pick in the 1989 draft by Hartford and played with the Devils from 1992-2002, helping the team win Stanley Cup championships in 1995 and 2000. He later played two seasons with the New York Rangers, and most recently played three years with Atlanta. Last season, Holik tallied 15 goals and 19 assists in 82 games for the Thrashers. In 1,252 NHL games, Holik has 322 goals and 416 assists. Rolston, 35, was the 11th overall pick by the Devils in the 1991 draft, and played his first five-plus seasons with the club. He had spent the last three seasons with the Minnesota Wild, and this past season scored 31 goals and added 28 assists in 81 regular season games. In 977 career NHL games, Rolston has 286 goals and 348 assists. |
