Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - The Philadelphia 76ers play the first of a three-game homestand tonight, as they welcome the red hot Golden State Warriors to the Wachovia Center.

The Sixers are once again expected to be without All-Star guard Allen Iverson, who is out indefinitely with inflammation in his right knee. Philadelphia is 12-14 this season without the Georgetown product.

Philadelphia is still alive in the playoff race. The 76ers are in 10th place in the Eastern Conference -- three games behind Boston for the last spot.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the two squads. On November 1, 2003, the Warriors beat the 76ers, 104-90, at the Arena in Oakland.

On Sunday, the 76ers slim playoff hopes took a big hit as they were on the wrong end of an 89-65 decision to the Boston Celtics at the FleetCenter. Kenny Thomas posted 18 points and grabbed nine boards for the 76ers.

The 76ers, who have won six straight at home, are 20-16 as the host this season.

The Warriors, who begin a four-game road trip, come into tonight's game on a season-high seven-game winning streak. On Sunday, Golden State posted a 105-77 thrashing of the Los Angeles Clippers at the Arena in Oakland.

Jason Richardson finished with 20 points, six rebounds and six assists, while Erick Dampier contributed 16 points and a career-high 25 rebounds in the dominating win.

Golden State's seven-game winning streak is its longest since posting eight straight victories in April 1994. The Warriors have won the seven contests by an average of 16 points.

Richardson has averaged 16.4 points in his last 10 games, while Dampier has averaged 13 rebounds in that same span.

The Warriors are a dismal 8-27 on the road this season.

Golden State has won three in a row and four of the last five contests with the 76ers. The Warriors have lost four of seven and five of their last nine at Philadelphia.
