Detroit led 59-53 early in the fourth quarter before it used an 11-0 spurt, capped by a Corliss Williamson free throw, to grab a commanding 70-53 lead with 5:05 remaining. Hamilton scored six points, during the critical run, The Pacers did not threaten after that. Detroit, which improved to 7-3 in games played on Sunday this season, played the third leg of a six-game stretch yesterday in the Motor City, where it is 28-10 on the season. The Pistons will continue their homestand on Tuesday when they welcome the woeful Orlando Magic to the TD Waterhouse Centre. Detroit has split its two matchups with the Magic this season and has won four of the last six and seven of the last 12 meetings. The Pistons have also won five of their last seven at home in this series. The Pistons are 2-8 in Tuesday games this season.
