Brent Barry and Rashard Lewis each chipped in 14 points for the Sonics, who snapped a four-game losing streak. Barry added nine rebounds and Lewis grabbed seven. Ronald Murray and Calvin Booth each netted 12 points for Seattle Seattle took total control of the game in the first 4 1/2 minutes of the second half with an 11-4 run to grab a commanding 63-44 advantage. Barry scored seven points during the spurt and capped it with a three-pointer from the top of the key, while Ray Allen added a pair of layups. Barry drained another long-range shot three minutes later to expand the Sonics' lead to 72-49. Allen answered his teammate's performance and knocked down back-to-back threes to put Seattle up 80-57 after 36 minutes. The Sonics cruised down the stretch. With the win, Seattle swept the two-game season series versus the Hornets. The Sonics won in New Orleans back on March 19. The Sonics owned a 43-42 advantage on the boards and Seattle has outrebounded the Hornets in 10 of the last 11 meetings in the series. Seattle has won four of its last five home games. For the season, the Sonics are 20-19 at home. The Sonics have five games left on their schedule, including Tuesday's trip to Dallas to battle the Mavericks. Seattle continues its two-game Texas trip in San Antonio on Wednesday.
