Hamilton, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - Hamilton Academical boss Billy Reid has completed the signing of former Huddersfield Town striker Lucas Akins. The 19-year-old, who was released by the Terriers at the end of last term, has inked a two-year contract with the Scottish Premier League new boys. Akins, who spent part of last season on loan at Northwich Victoria, impressed during a recent trial at New Douglas Park. Meanwhile, former Airdrie United forward Gary Twigg has had his contract with the club cancelled.
