New Orleans, LA (My Sportsbook) - The
Golden State Warriors aim to snap a four-game skid when they battle the
New Orleans Hornets on Friday at New Orleans Arena.
The Warriors opened the season with a surprise win over the San Antonio Spurs, but haven't claimed a victory since.
Golden State was upended by the Spurs at SBC Center in its last contest, 93-73, on Tuesday.
Antawn Jamison pumped in 16 points, while Jason Richardson and Gilbert Arenas each netted 14 points for the Warriors. Troy Murphy had 10 points and nine rebounds.
Golden State shot only 35 percent from the floor and missed on all eight three-point attempts.
The Warriors have dropped the first three contests of a season-long, six-game road trip and are still searching for their first win away from home. They play three road games in the next four nights.
Forward Danny Fortson (personal) is questionable for Friday's game. He has yet to see action this season for the Warriors.
In their last outing, the New Orleans Hornets handed Seattle its first loss of the season with an 86-84 win over the SuperSonics Wednesday.
Baron Davis scored 23 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out nine assists to lead New Orleans.
David Wesley contributed 19 points for the Hornets, who have won three out of four games to begin the season. Jamal Mashburn chipped in 16 points and Jamaal Magloire pulled down 11 boards, as the Hornets are undefeated in three home games since moving to New Orleans in the offseason.
The Hornets have won the last six meetings with the Warriors and nine of the past 11. Golden State has also dropped five straight road games to the Hornets.
