St. Petersburg, FL (My Sportsbook) - Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland announced on Saturday that reliever Joel Zumaya will not be available to pitch for at least a few days. Zumaya continues to experience discomfort in his right arm and the flame- throwing right-hander will be further evaluated by the team's medical staff. If all goes well, the Tigers hope to have him available for Tuesday's series opener against the Chicago White Sox. He exited the game on July 27 due to tightness in his right triceps, and Leyland noticed something in Zumaya's mechanics on Friday that raised concerns. Zumaya has one save and a 2.61 earned run average in 17 games this season.
