Sacramento Kings look to halt a three- game losing streak when they host the winless
Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.
The Kings opened the season 3-0, but haven't posted a victory since. The team is coming off a brutal four-game road trip, which began with a win in Memphis.
Sacramento fell to 3-3 on Wednesday with a 95-88 setback to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Chris Webber paced the Kings with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Peja Stojakovic contributed 19 points and Bobby Jackson collected 16 for Sacramento, which was outscored 21-16 in the final quarter. Vlade Divac ended with 10 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
The Kings' Keon Clark sat out the game with a strained groin. He is questionable for Friday's affair.
The Grizzlies suffered their fifth straight defeat to start the season with a 94-88 loss to Portland on Wednesday.
Pau Gasol scored a game-high 23 points and pulled down eight boards for the Grizzlies. Jason Williams netted 19 points and handed out 11 assists, while teammate Stromile Swift had 16 points and nine rebounds.
The Grizzlies began their inaugural season in Memphis last year with eight straight losses.
This is the second meeting between the Kings and Grizzlies this season. The teams met back on November 2, with Sacramento rolling to a 116-99 victory.
The Kings have won the last four meetings with the Grizzlies overall and nine of the past 10. Sacramento has also won eight straight over the Grizzlies at ARCO Arena.
Sacramento is 2-0 at home this season, while Memphis is 0-2 on the road.
