Milwaukee, WI (My Sportsbook) - The red-hot
Philadelphia 76ers will go for their fifth consecutive victory this evening when they take to the road to battle the
Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.
Philadelphia hasn't lost since opening night to Orlando, registering four straight wins in the friendly confines of the First Union Center. The 76ers posted their most impressive performance to date on Friday night, tallying a 108-84 drubbing of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Keith Van Horn scored a season-high 28 points to lead the Sixers to the win, while Allen Iverson, who started despite a sprained right thumb, contributed 17 points. Van Horn finished 11-for-15 from the field, including 4-for-4 from three-point range.
"That's what we got him for. It was good to see him dominate tonight," said Iverson.
"Keith played great," 76ers coach Larry Brown said. "He had 28 points on 15 shots -- that's pretty incredible."
Sixers guard Eric Snow finished with 10 points and 11 assists, while Aaron McKie and Brian Skinner each had 12 points. Greg Buckner added 11 points for the Sixers in the dominating victory.
Milwaukee had its two-game winning streak stopped on Thursday night after suffering a 114-110 loss to Minnesota. Despite the loss, Sam Cassell had a season-high 32 points and Ray Allen chipped in 27. The Bucks lost their seventh straight to the Timberwolves.
"That's good, to be a formidable foe," Allen said. "But it's not like they're in our conference so we see them regularly. Winning here is what we wanted.
"Nothing went our way. We didn't get any calls. At the end of the game when situations arose to help win the game, they were all positive in the direction of the Timberwolves."
Anthony Mason had a solid night against Minnesota, posting 11 points and 12 rebounds. Mason and his teammates couldn't find an answer for Kevin Garnett, though, as the All-Star posted 28 points and 24 rebounds.
"He's a very committed leader to his team," Bucks head coach Karl said of Garnett. "He's on a mission not to lose here."
The Bucks will be trying to get revenge for their 95-93 loss at Philadelphia last week. Philadelphia has won four straight meetings in the series to gain a slight 76-74 advantage all-time.
Milwaukee has split two home games this season, while the Sixers are 0-1 on the road.
