New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Washington Wizards guard Jerry Stackhouse and Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki were selected as the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, November 4 through Sunday, November 10. Stackhouse's week included the game-winning dunk versus the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 29.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest as the Wizards went 3-1 on the week. Stackhouse, who was acquired in the off-season from Detroit, poured in a season-high 35 points to lead Washington to a 107-100 win over Cleveland. Against the Lakers, he tallied 29 points as the Wizards knocked off the champions 100-99. Nowitzki averaged 21.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.50 blocks per game as he led Dallas to a perfect 4-0 record on the week. He recorded double- doubles in three of the Mavericks' four games during the week. He scored 24 points against Golden State and Chicago, while grabbing 13 and 10 rebounds respectively in the two contests. His best game was in a 106-92 win over Toronto when he posted 28 points and 13 rebounds. The Mavericks remained as the lone unbeaten team left in the NBA. Other Eastern Conference candidates for the award were Chicago's Jay Williams, Detroit's Richard Hamilton, Indiana's Brad Miller and Jermaine O'Neal, New Jersey's Jason Kidd, New Orleans' Baron Davis and Jamal Mashburn, Orlando's Grant Hill and Tracy McGrady and Philadelphia's Allen Iverson. Other players considered for Western Conference honors were Golden State's Jason Richardson, Houston's Steve Francis and Seattle's Gary Payton.
