Chicago, IL (My Sportsbook) - Chicago White Sox senior vice president Jack Gould died Monday morning at his home. His age was not released by the team. "Everyone with the Chicago White Sox is deeply saddened today," White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf said. "Jack Gould was a tremendous person, a war hero who rarely spoke of his accomplishments, a skilled businessman, a trusted counselor, a good friend and a very proud grandfather. He devoted a large part of his life to the Chicago White Sox, and he loved the team dearly. Not a day will pass when he is not missed." Gould joined the White Sox in 1975 as an investor and assumed the senior vice president role in 1981. Gould, who was born in Chicago, served as a bomber pilot for the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II and received several medals, including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, son Larry, daughter-in-law Hilary and grandson, Lucas.
