New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Portland Trail Blazers swingman Bonzi Wells was suspended one game without pay by the NBA on Monday for spitting on San Antonio forward Danny Ferry. Wells has denied the accusation, which the Spurs insist happened midway through the fourth quarter during Portland's 95-76 rout of the Spurs on Saturday. Ferry received a technical after the incident for arguing with official Nolan Fine. Wells, who is second on the Trail Blazers in scoring with a 12.2 per-game average, was to sit out Monday's game at the Dallas Mavericks. |
