St. Louis, MO (My Sportsbook) - The Pittsburgh Penguins announced several moves prior to the start of Saturday's 6-3 win over the St. Louis Blues. Team captain Sidney Crosby played despite suffering an unknown injury on Thursday. The star forward left the Pens' 4-1 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes early in the third period after feeling discomfort. Crosby did not practice on Friday. The 21-year-old was credited with a pair of assists, bringing his point total on the season to 15. Forward Ruslan Fedotenko did not play after leaving the club's morning skate with an undisclosed injury. He is listed as day-to-day. The native of Ukraine has registered just a pair of goals in 11 contests. In addition, forward Pascal Dupuis was placed on injured reserve. The move is retroactive to October 28. Dupuis has scored twice in 10 games. To fill the roster spot, the club recalled forward Janne Pesonen from Wilkes- Barre/Scranton of the AHL.
