Denver, CO (My Sportsbook) - Peter Budaj stopped all 26 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season, as the Colorado Avalanche blanked Nashville, 1-0, at the Pepsi Center. It was the sixth career shutout for Budaj, who helped the Avs halt their five- game losing streak. Darcy Tucker provided the game's only tally with his 200th career goal. Dan Ellis was solid in net for Nashville, making 19 saves, but the Predators went on to lose their third straight game. They were also shut out on November 4 by Vancouver. Tucker scored with 4:21 left in the second period, in which Budaj made nine saves. He made an additional nine stops in the third to send the Avs to victory. Game Notes It was the 500th home game all-time for Colorado...The Avalanche had nine power-play chances, and were unsuccessful on all of them...The Predators went 0-for-7 on the power play.
