East Rutherford, NJ (My Sportsbook) - The New York Giants and wide receiver Herman Moore have agreed to a contract. Terms were not disclosed. Moore, who is the Detroit Lions all-time leading receiver, hasn't played since being put on injured reserve last season with a hip injury. Moore will join a depleted receiving corps that is hampered with injuries. The 10th pick overall in the 1991 draft out of Virginia, Moore caught 670 passes for 9,174 yards and 62 touchdowns in 11 seasons with the Lions. Moore also holds an NFL-record 123 receptions in 1995. Detroit placed him on waivers June 3 in a salary cap move. New York wideout Ike Hilliard is out for the season after injuring his shoulder. Tim Carter suffered a torn Achilles' tendon and is done for the year, while Ron Dixon is out with a sprained knee. The Giants are left with Amani Toomer and rookie Daryl Jones as the only healthy receivers on the roster.
