Tampa, FL (My Sportsbook) - Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia was limited in practice on Friday, but is expected to start Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. "We never like to see a guy not practice, particularly at that position, but he's an experienced guy," said Tampa Bay head coach Jon Gruden. "He did take some reps yesterday and the day before, so he has participated to a degree. This is just a tough situation right now, but we're hopeful he can play." Garcia is suffering from a calf strain he suffered earlier in the week that caused him to miss practice on Wednesday and Thursday. On the season, Garcia is 206-for-309 with 2,223 yards, 10 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Since reclaiming his starting job in Week 6, he has guided the team to a 6-2 mark. Tampa holds a one-game lead over Atlanta and Dallas for the top wild card spot in the NFC. In other injury news for Tampa, backup quarterback Brian Griese has been limited in practice by a right elbow injury, which would mean that Luke McCown might get the start if Garcia is unable to play.
