New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - The New York Yankees have reportedly agreed to a deal with free agent first baseman Mark Teixeira. According to the New York Times, Teixeira has agreed to a long-term contract. Speculation in recent weeks indicated that he was looking for an eight-year deal worth $170 million. The 28-year-old switch-hitter batted a combined .308 with 33 home runs and 121 RBI in 157 games with the Braves and Angels in 2008. More to follow.
