Phoenix, AZ (My Sportsbook) - Arizona pitcher Shane Reynolds made his season debut in Monday's 10-5 defeat to San Diego. Reynolds (0-1), who was activated from the 60-day disabled list before the game, absorbed the loss after being charged with six runs -- one earned -- on six hits in two innings. In April, the Diamondbacks placed Reynolds on the 15-day disabled list with an inflamed rotator cuff. He signed with them as a free agent after spending the 2003 season with Atlanta, where he went 11-9 with a 5.43 ERA in 30 games, including 29 starts, for the Braves . Originally drafted by Houston in the third round of the 1989 June free agent draft, Reynolds spent the first 11 years of his career with the Astros. His best season came in 1998, when he was 19-8 with a career-best 209 strikeouts and a 3.51 ERA. In order to make room for Reynolds on the 40-man roster, Arizona transferrered injured infielder Alan Zinter from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list. And to make room for Reynolds on the 25-man roster, the team optioned right-hander Greg Aquino to Triple-A Tucson
