Miami, FL (My Sportsbook) - Dwyane Wade had 21 points and 12 assists, as the Miami Heat spoiled LeBron James' 24th birthday with a 104-95 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Miami earned a split in the home-and-home series, as the Cavaliers topped the Heat, 93-86, on Sunday in Cleveland.

Mario Chalmers went 6-of-7 from three-point range en route to a 21-point, eight-assist effort for the Heat, who have won five of six. Daequan Cook tallied 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting from long distance, while Shawn Marion posted 14 points and 11 rebounds.

"They are a talented team. We came out and did everything that we wanted to do tonight," Marion said. "We knew they were going to make a run at us in the second half, but we kept our composure. They can be beat. Our defense is outstanding. Everybody is helping each other."

Udonis Haslem had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Miami in the victory.

"It means a lot (to beat a team like Cleveland)," Cook said. "We are doing a great job protecting our home (court). That is when we play our best ball. One of the bigger wins of the season."

James' 38-point game was wasted for the Cavaliers, who snapped a six-game winning streak. Delonte West posted 20 points, while Mo Williams had 10 points and five assists in the loss.

"We have to give the Miami Heat credit," Cavs head coach Mike Brown said. "In the first half they came out and were very aggressive. I didn't think we did a good job of getting back in transition. We haven't played with a sense of urgency for four quarters. We have to try to get back to that."

Down 15 with 2 1/2 minutes left in the third, the Cavaliers went on a 10-0 burst to climb to within five on James' three-pointer. James had eight of the points, but Wade's two free throws put Miami ahead, 74-67, heading into the fourth.

Williams' three and James' jumper to start the fourth pulled the Cavs to within two, and James' three from the corner cut Miami's lead to 78-77 with nine minutes to go.

Miami responded with a 9-0 run to take a 10-point lead, as Chalmers hit a three and a layup to cap the run with 6:45 left. Cook hit a couple free throws and a three to give the Heat a 14-point lead with 4:52 to go, and Cleveland didn't threaten from there.

Trailing 9-5 early, the Heat rattled off a 14-2 run, as Wade's dunk gave Miami a 19-11 lead. The Cavs scored the last four points of the quarter and trailed only 26-19 after the opening 12 minutes.

Wade's jumper halfway through the second put the Heat up 36-23, and Cook gave Miami a 50-34 halftime advantage after his three-pointer with 24 seconds left.
