Miami, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Florida Marlins announced the release of pitchers Hansel Izquierdo and Benito Baez on Thursday. Both will be offered minor league contracts by the organization. Izquierdo was 2-0 with a 4.55 ERA in 20 games last season with the Marlins. Baez, a left-hander, spent most of the 2002 season on the disabled list. In 2001, he pitched in eight games for Florida, posting a 13.50 ERA. |
