Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - The National Hockey League suspended Toronto forward Mikhail Grabovski on Friday for three games, without pay, for abusing an official during Thursday's 6-2 loss to bitter rival Montreal. Late in the third period, Grabovski was wrestled to the ice by linesman Scott Cherrey while separating him from Canadiens forward Sergei Kostitsyn during a skirmish. Grabovski then pushed the official and kicked his own helmet before gesturing to the Bell Centre crowd as he left the ice. Grabovski will not be eligible to return to action until January 16 when the Maple Leafs face the Atlanta Thrashers. The native of Potsdam, East Germany, who was originally drafted by the Canadiens in 2004, has registered 12 goals and 11 assists in 41 games for Toronto this season.
