Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - Atlanta Braves relief pitcher Chris Hammond, who left Game 1 of the National League Division Series with a neck sprain, is questionable for Thursday night's contest against the San Francisco Giants. The Giants won the opener of the best-of-five series 8-5. Hammond, 36, had a 0.95 ERA during the regular season for the Braves. He injured his neck in the sixth inning of Game 1 on Wednesday when he dove to field a grounder by Rich Aurilia. Hammond made the play and threw out Aurilia, but surrendered two earned runs later in the inning, the first two earned runs he had given up since June 30. The lefthander was treated with muscle relaxers, massage therapy, heat and traction, but did not take the field with the team in Thursday's batting practice.
