Buffalo, NY (My Sportsbook) - The Buffalo Sabres placed defenseman Jason Woolley on waivers. Woolley has managed just three assists in 14 games this season. The move comes a day after Buffalo dropped a 4-3 decision to Boston, extending the Sabres' winless streak to nine games (0-7-2). The 12-year NHL veteran had been with Buffalo since being acquired in a trade with Pittsburgh on September 24, 1997. In 548 career games, Woolley has tallied 57 goals and 196 assists.
