Montreal, QC (My Sportsbook) - Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has withdrawn from Sunday's NHL All-Star Game because of injury, and Tampa Bay's Martin St. Louis will take his spot on the Eastern Conference roster. Crosby has been battling a knee injury, which forced him to miss last Friday's game against Anaheim. He returned to the ice for Pittsburgh's final two games before the All-Star break, but will miss the event for the second consecutive year. Crosby, who was voted a starter for this year's contest, did not play in last year's event because of a high ankle sprain. The 21-year-old Crosby is second in the NHL in points with 60 (17g, 43a), behind only teammate Evgeni Malkin, who has 70 (19g, 51a) and is slated to start for the East squad Sunday at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Crosby's replacement, St. Louis, will make his fifth All-Star game appearance and third in a row. He leads the Lightning in points with 46, having tallied 17 goals and 29 assists.
