Vancouver Canucks will try and make it three wins in a row tonight when they welcome the
Los Angeles Kings to GM Place.
Todd Bertuzzi, Artem Chubarov, Todd Warriner and Brendan Morrison each tallied a goal and an assist to lead Vancouver over St. Louis, 6-3, in the opener of a five-game homestand on Tuesday.
Trevor Letowski and Trevor Linden also lit the lamp for the Canucks, who came back from a two-goal deficit and won for the fourth time in five games.
Dan Cloutier stopped 25 shots for the Canucks and kept the deficit at two early in the first period with a pair of point-blank saves.
Linden, who has scored in back-to-back games, is now one tally shy of Stan Smyl's Canucks record of 262 goals.
Vancouver killed off 5-of-6 penalties and has stopped 78-of-86 opposition power plays through the first 16 games of the season.
Los Angeles, in the midst of the second-longest road trip in franchise history, comes into Thursday's contest with a two-game losing streak and losers in four of its last five.
The Kings fell to 1-2-0 on its current eight-game trip with a 4-3 overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
Adam Deadmarsh scored twice and Jaroslav Modry had a goal and an assist in the loss. Felix Potvin stopped 15-of-18 shots through the first two periods for Los Angeles before Jamie Storr came on to play the third. Storr made seven saves and took the loss.
This will be the second meeting of the season between these teams, as they skated to a 2-2 tie back on October 19 at Staples Center.
The Canucks are unbeaten in their last four (2-0-2) against LA and 3-1-2 in the last six meetings. However, in the last 16 matchups, the Kings own a 9-3-4 mark.
Vancouver has beaten Los Angeles three straight times on its home ice.
