Edmonton, AB (My Sportsbook) - The Edmonton Eskimos announced on Monday that they have signed wide receiver Andrew Nowacki to a contract extension that will keep him with the club through 2011. Nowacki had a career year in 2007, making 47 catches for 465 yards with two touchdown receptions in 18 games, 12 of those starts. His numbers dipped a bit this past season, as the 28-year-old made just five starts in 18 games. Nowacki ended with 28 receptions, 369 yards and a pair of touchdowns. "Andrew has shown real growth over the past couple of seasons," said Eskimos general manager and director of football operations Danny Maciocia. "He's emerged into a very sure-handed possession receiver." Nowacki was Edmonton's fourth-round pick (26th overall) in the 2004 draft.
