Porto, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - Boavista midfielder Raul Meireles has made the move to Porto, signing a five-year deal with his new club. The 21-year-old Meireles joins Ricardo Quaresma as Porto's newest signings. Quaresma signed a deal with the reigning European champions on Tuesday, the same day that Portuguese international midfielder Deco bolted to join Spanish side Barcelona. Meireles comes to Porto after a solid season for rival Boavista. He appeared in 29 matches for Boavista last season before representing Portugal on its Under-21 squad. As part of the agreement between Boavista and Porto, former Porto midfielder Tiago changes sides in the rivalry. |
