Kissimmee, FL (My Sportsbook) - Houston Astros catcher Toby Hall will miss at least a month after an MRI revealed a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Hall was expected to compete for the two catcher spots on the major league roster, but the injury serves a major setback for the 33-year-old. Last year with the White Sox, Hall played in 41 games as the backup for A.J. Pierzynski and hit .260 with two homers and seven runs batted in. Lifetime, with Tampa Bay, Los Angeles and the White Sox, Hall has 46 homers, 269 RBI and a .262 batting average. Houston has three other catchers competing for the job in spring training: Humberto Quintero, J.R. Towles and Lou Palmisano.
