The Bulls will also host the Knicks, Sixers and Bobcats, and own a 24-12 record in the Windy City this season. They are shooting for a playoff berth and sit eighth in the Eastern Conference standings, two games clear of the plucky Charlotte Bobcats. Chicago has lost back-to-back games since a four-game winning streak and suffered a 107-105 loss at Indiana on Tuesday. Rookie Derrick Rose paced Chicago with 24 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in defeat. Kirk Hinrich and Tyrus Thomas each netted 20 points for the Bulls, who got 14 points and eight assists off the bench from Brad Miller. Hinrich, Thomas and John Salmons are all probable for Saturday. New Jersey will try to keep its slim playoff hopes alive this afternoon and sits 4 1/2 games behind the Bulls for a the last playoff seed in the East. It put the brakes on a five-game slide with Wednesday's 111-98 victory over Detroit, as Keyon Dooling tied a season high with 23 points at the IZOD Center. Devin Harris poured in 19 points, handed out 11 assists and tied a season high with four steals for New Jersey, which has only three wins over its last 12 tries. Rookie Brook Lopez added 19 points and seven rebounds, and Vince Carter ended with 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the win. The Bulls are 2-1 against New Jersey this season and have won three of the last four matchups. New Jersey has lost three straight and five of its last six trips to the United Center.
