Boston, MA (My Sportsbook) - The Boston Bruins recalled forward Vladimir Sobotka from Providence of the AHL, the team announced Thursday. Sobotka will be used on an emergency basis and is expected to be available for Thursday's home game versus Montreal. In 23 games for the Bruins this season, he has amassed one goal and three assists. Originally selected by Boston in the fourth round of the 2005 draft, Sobotka posted 20 goals and 24 assists over 44 contests with Providence this season. The native of the Czech Republic owns two goals and nine assists in 71 career games at the NHL level.
