=== St. Louis Cardinals Team Report - July 18 === (My Sportsbook) - The St. Louis Cardinals hope to get back in the win column today, as they battle the Cincinnati Reds in the finale of a four-game series at Great American Ball Park. The Reds can salvage a split in the series with a victory today. Cincinnati picked up a dramatic win in Saturday's game, as Adam Dunn's three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth proved to be the difference in the 7-5 victory. Albert Pujols had a homer and two RBI for the Cardinals, who had a two-game win streak halted and lost for the second time in 12 contests in July. St. Louis starter Jason Marquis yielded four runs on nine hits in five innings. He struck out four and walked two. Jeff Suppan attempts to win his third consecutive start, as he heads to the mound for the Cardinals today. Suppan is 2-0 with a 2.02 ERA in his last two starts and picked up a victory last Saturday against the Chicago Cubs. He surrendered two runs and seven hits in six innings of work, while striking out five batters. Suppan has no record and a 5.54 ERA in two career starts against the Reds. The Cardinals have won 13 of the last 17 matchups between these teams.
