Flushing, NY (My Sportsbook) - The New York Mets have decided to skip Mike Pelfrey's scheduled start on Sunday, as the right-hander battles forearm tendinitis. Pelfrey has a record of 1-0 with an 8.10 earned run average in two starts this season. He last pitched on Monday in the home opener against San Diego when he was tagged for five runs on eight hits in five innings of a no-decision. The Mets have recalled pitcher Nelson Figueroa from Triple-A Buffalo to make Sunday's start against Milwaukee and opened a roster spot for the right-hander by designating pitcher Darren O'Day for assignment. Figueroa was 3-3 with a 4.57 ERA in 16 games for the Mets last season.
