Tampa, FL (My Sportsbook) - Tampa Bay Lightning left wing Dave Andreychuk scored the 250th power-play goal of his career on Friday in a 4-2 victory against San Jose, breaking the all-time NHL mark set by Phil Esposito. The 21-year veteran Andreychuk recorded his 599th overall tally, and is just one shy of becoming the 14th member of the 600-goal club. Andreychuk opened the scoring against the Sharks with his milestone tally -- his sixth goal of the season -- 9:43 into the first period. Fredrik Modin passed the puck down low to Brad Richards, who centered into the crease. Andreychuk was camped at the doorstep and pushed the puck past San Jose goaltender Evgeni Nabokov for a 1-0 Lightning lead. Andreychuk is in his second season with Tampa Bay, and has also played for Buffalo, Colorado, Boston, New Jersey and Toronto.
