Bronx, NY (My Sportsbook) - Jorge Posada's two-run single in the bottom of the ninth was the game-winner, as the Yankees scored six runs over their final two innings to edge Los Angeles, 10-9.

Posada also had a homer and finished with four RBI for New York, which won its season-best fourth consecutive contest. Ramiro Pena went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI and Derek Jeter also drove in a run. Robinson Cano extended his hitting streak to a career-long-tying 18 games with a 3-for-5 effort, and also scored twice and knocked in a run. Hideki Matsui went 1-for-4 and now has an 11-game hitting streak.

Nick Swisher was hit by a pitch in the first inning and left prior to the third. X-rays were negative and he is listed as day-to-day.

Andy Pettitte suffered a no-decision after giving up five runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings of work. Jonathan Albaladejo (2-1) got the win with a perfect ninth inning of relief.

Gary Matthews Jr. went 3-for-4 with four RBI for the Angels, who have dropped four of their last seven games. Jeff Mathis drove in three runs and Maicer Izturis also drove in a run in defeat.

Jered Weaver got a no-decision after yielding four runs on as many hits in six frames. Brian Fuentes (0-2) blew the save and was saddled with the loss after surrendering two runs on three hits while not recording an out in the ninth.

Trailing 9-4 in the eighth, Cano had a one-out double and Posada drew a walk off Rafael Rodriguez. Jose Arredondo was then called on in relief and gave up a single to Brett Gardner to load the bases. Melky Cabrera then clubbed an RBI single, Pena had a two-run base hit and Jeter grounded out to score Cabrera and make it 9-8.

Fuentes took the hill to try and close it for LA in the ninth, but gave up a leadoff walk to Mark Teixeira. Matsui and Cano followed with singles to load the bases, and Posada had the game-winning two-run single to center.

The Yankees got to Weaver in the first inning. It was second and third as Jeter and Johnny Damon walked prior to Teixeira's groundout. Matsui then offered a sac fly to right and Cano clubbed an RBI single. Posada made it 4-0 with a homer to right field.

The Angels batted around to solve Pettitte and take the lead in the sixth as the rain began to pick up. Singles from Torii Hunter and Mike Napoli, followed by a ground out from Howie Kendrick, left both runners in scoring position. Robb Quinlan was called out on strikes for the second out, but Mathis singled back up the middle to score both runners.

Erick Aybar's single and Chone Figgins' walk then loaded the bases and brought Mark Melancon in from the bullpen. Matthews welcomed him to the game with a bases-clearing triple, and came home on a wild pitch to make it 6-4.

The visitors tacked on more runs off Jose Veras in the seventh to break the game open. Napoli walked, Kendrick singled and Izturis hit a grounder to right that scored Napoli and left runners on the corners. Mathis' squeeze bunt plated Kendrick and brought Edwar Ramirez in from the bullpen. Aybar then singled to right and Figgins walked to load the bases, before Matthews hit a sac fly to right to make it 9-4.
