Calgary, Alberta (My Sportsbook) - The Calgary Flames traded forward Marc Savard to the Atlanta Thrashers for forward Ruslan Zainullin on Friday. Savard had posted three points -- one goal and two assists -- in 10 games for the Flames. He tallied 14 goals and 33 points last season, despite missing 25 games due to injury. In 319 career NHL contests, Savard has recorded 70 goals and 205 total points. His best season was the 2000-01 campaign, when he posted career highs of 23 goals and 42 assists. Zainullin has played the last four seasons for Ak Bars Kazan of the Russian Hockey League. He had posted just one assist in four games this year. He also played for the silver medal winning team at the 2002 World Junior Championships.
