Montreal, Quebec (My Sportsbook) - The New Jersey Devils and Montreal Canadiens will conclude a home-and home series tonight when the two faceoff at the Bell Centre. On Friday, Jamie Langenbrunner scored a pair of goals and assisted on another to lift New Jersey to a 5-1 victory over the Canadiens in the opener of the series at the Meadowlands. Patrik Elias notched a goal and a two assists for the Devils, who have won two straight and three of their last four (3-1-0). Brian Gionta and Sergei Brylin also scored for New Jersey, while John Madden, Brian Rafalski and Scott Niedermayer each had two assists. Martin Brodeur made 20 saves for the Devils, who outshot the Canadiens 44-21. Langenbrunner, who leads the Devils in goals, has scored all seven of his tallies in his last six games. Saku Koivu scored the lone goal for Montreal, which has lost two straight after winning two in a row. Jeff Hackett finished with 39 saves for the Habs and suffered his first loss of the season (4-1-2). Jose Theodore is expected back between the pipes this evening. The Devils finished 3-for-6 on the power play after entering the game with the worst unit in the league at 5-for-62. Montreal was 0-for-5 with the man- advantage New Jersey has taken three of the last four from Montreal and eight of the last 10. The Devils have also taken three of their last four in Montreal and are 5-2-1 in their last eight on the Canadiens' home ice.
